Apex PE 232 MkII — Dual Channel Paragraphic Equalizer (Belgium)

One fully tested Apex PE 232 MkII Paragraphic Equalizer, professionally verified using RiTA measurement software in loopback configuration. A unique and highly versatile dual-channel EQ combining a 30-band constant-Q graphic equalizer with a fully parametric equalizer section in a single 2U rack unit — the first ever and still unsurpassed EQ combining both functions in one device.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Dual channel (A + B), 2U rack format

• 2× 30 bands, ISO center frequencies, 25Hz–25kHz, 1/3 octave

• Constant-Q graphic EQ with DLT (Dynamic Laser Trimming) for ultra accurate and artefact-less frequency, phase and amplitude response

• Gain range: switchable ±12dB or ±6dB (higher resolution)

• 2× fully parametric equalizers per channel: gain -45dB to +15dB, frequency 18Hz–20kHz, variable Q

• Variable Butterworth high-pass filter per channel

• All filters individually switchable IN/OUT for instant comparison with flat response

• Fail-safe relay bypass

• Overload indicator driven by peak-peak sensing circuit

• Electronically balanced XLR inputs and outputs

• Performance: +0/-0.5dB, 20Hz–40kHz / THD <0.01% / Noise <-94dBm (typ. -98dBm)

• Voltage selector: 120/230V

• Made in Belgium (Apex nv, Beringen)

TESTED & VERIFIED — SERIAL NUMBER:

• SN 2095601500 — fully functional, both channels (A+B) verified

VERIFICATION RESULTS (RiTA loopback measurement):

• Reference signal: direct loopback to RiTA reference input

• Measured signal: Apex PE 232 MkII output routed back to RiTA measurement input

• All 30 graphic EQ bands verified per channel: gain, center frequency and Q response coherent

• All parametric filter controls verified: frequency, gain and Q functioning correctly

• High-pass filter verified per channel

• All IN/OUT switches functioning correctly on both channels

• Flat magnitude and phase response confirmed in bypass mode
