Maxon OD-9 Blackdrive with the Analog Man True Vintage mod. The Blackdrive is a limited edition made exclusively for the European market — same OD-9 circuit and JRC4558D op-amp, true bypass, still made in Japan, but in a semi-gloss black enclosure instead of the usual green. Hard to find stateside on its own; with the Analog Man work done to it, harder still.The True Vintage mod brings it closer to an original 808 — NOS clipping diodes and the JRC4558D chip — for a rounder, less compressed feel and more open low end than a stock OD-9.
