The Milab VM-44, the brand's best-selling model, is a true workhorse, delivering a transparent sound that excels with transient-rich sources such as acoustic guitar, piano, or drums.

The handcrafted, small-diaphragm condenser capsule offers remarkable transparency and handles fast transients and high frequencies like few competitors. Its frequency response is perfectly linear, with a peak presence around 10 kHz, making the VM-44 ideal for almost any sound source, and particularly for acoustic instruments where it truly shines.

The VM-44 is equally at home in the studio or on stage, and thanks to its small size, it can be easily and discreetly positioned. Its natural sound and unobtrusive appearance have made the VM-44 series a favorite among television studios worldwide. The -12 dB pad ensures stability at high sound pressure levels. If the cardioid polar pattern isn't to your liking, the front panel unscrews easily in seconds and can be replaced with an omnidirectional or supercardioid capsule. In a 2009 blind comparison test by Tape Op magazine, the VM-44 was selected as one of the best small-diaphragm condenser microphones out of 91 models.

The VM-44 is available in three versions: Classic, Link, and Gooseneck. The package includes a 3221 shock mount, a 3406 windscreen, and a frequency response diagram.
