Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard (MEK) with a PE-style control layout: most knobs are potentiometers with physical min/max stops, while 14 of them are detented (soft click), endless-turn encoders. Fitted with Prophet-style knobs. In great condition and fully functioning.

Characteristics

A true hybrid analog/digital, four-oscillator monophonic synthesizer with a stereo signal path. Features two analog oscillators and two digital wavetable oscillators featuring classic Prophet VS waves.
The signal path combines dual analog Curtis low-pass filters and analog VCAs with digital high-pass filtering, distortion, tuned feedback, and three independent stereo delay lines.

With four LFOs, three envelopes, an extensive modulation matrix, built-in arpeggiator and 16 × 4 step sequencer, the Mono Evolver offers deep sound-design possibilities and hands-on control in a distinctive, powerful synth.

Functionality

All functions have been tested and confirmed working prior to listing, including all audio I/O, MIDI I/O, CV inputs, knobs, encoders, and buttons. The Oscillator 3 button requires slightly firmer pressure than the others. According to Sequential’s documentation, the buttons are self-cleaning, and repeated presses may help resolve the issue.

Cosmetic Condition

Great overall, with only minor signs of wear, mainly on the wooden side panels and the bottom. The Envelope 3 Release knob sits slightly off-axis but functions as intended. Please see pictures. Used in a professional studio.

Shipping

The synth will be carefully double-boxed for safe transport and includes the original power supply. Shipping is available throughout Europe.
