The TC Electronic Spark Booster is a versatile analog boost pedal designed to provide clean level increases, tonal shaping and additional drive. With up to 26 dB of boost available, it can be used to raise the volume for lead passages, push a tube amplifier into greater saturation or add extra gain and character to other drive pedals.

The control layout consists of Gain, Level, Bass and Treble controls. Level determines the overall output boost, while Gain can introduce additional grit and overdrive when desired. The active Bass and Treble controls provide direct adjustment of the pedal’s frequency response, making it possible to compensate for different guitars and amplifiers or deliberately reshape the boosted signal.

A three-position Fat/Clean/Mid toggle switch further changes the pedal’s character. Clean mode provides the most neutral boost response, Fat adds extra low-end body, and Mid emphasizes the midrange to help the guitar stand out more prominently. Combined with the EQ and gain controls, these modes allow the Spark Booster to function as anything from a subtle always-on tone enhancer to a more pronounced boost or light overdrive.
