Made in Japan during the era of Yamaha's original Maple Custom (pre-Absolute) series, this drum exemplifies the exceptional craftsmanship and tonal character for which these instruments are renowned.Featuring a North American maple shell, the drum offers the warmth, resonance, sensitivity, and articulation associated with the original Maple Custom series. Its versatile 5.5" depth provides an excellent balance of body, projection, and responsiveness.The Vintage Oil finish beautifully showcases the natural maple grain, complemented by the distinctive second-generation Maple Custom lugs, which are exceptionally clean and present beautifully.ConditionExcellent. This drum was acquired from its original owner, who purchased it new but reportedly never played it.The shell, finish, and hardware are in outstanding overall condition, with the second-generation lugs particularly well-preserved.
