About this listing
For your consideration is a 1976 Fender Princeton (non-reverb), the cleaner, simpler counterpart to the Princeton Reverb. It’s also one of the most underrated amps Fender ever made: beautifully airy, articulate, and exceptionally pedal-friendly.The serial number is A190XX, with the last two digits covered to protect the next owner’s privacy. The amp has been played but remains in overall very good condition. No funky odors. There are some scratches on the front panel and some oxidation on the metal chassis. Previously installed casters on the bottom and an extra side handle have been removed. Brand-new genuine Fender chassis straps and handle end caps have been installed. The amp was recently serviced by one of the most respected amp shops in the Dallas area (invoice shown in the second photo). The work included a thorough cleaning, installation of a properly grounded 3-prong power cable, replacement of several capacitors, and a fresh pair of JJ 6V6 tubes. It’s sounding absolutely fantastic, and the techs were impressed with how it turned out as well (see their note on the invoice). I have way too many amps, so it’s time to find this one a good home.It will be packed with the utmost care. The tubes will be labeled according to their corresponding sockets, removed, and securely packed inside the amp for shipping.
