DiMarzio Area J 5-String Bass Pickup Set#DP552BLACK5-String bass pickup go vintage with the Area J 5! Like the original Area J, the Area J 5 was designed for warmth, sustain, and a clean, singing tone. The low-pull magnetic field allows the strings to ring clearly and enhances the sound of the low "B" string. And like all DiMarzio bass pickups, the Area J 5 cancels hum. With medium output and a very balanced tone, the Area J 5 works equally well with passive and active electronics. NOTE: the cover dimensions of the Area J 5 are not the same as the 5-string Fender Jazz Bass. The Area J 5 pickups therefore cannot be installed as direct replacements on these basses without modification.
