First thing’s first: this is a Squier guitar and I am by no means trying to pass this off as a Fender. I’ll explain the headstock decal:I got this guitar as a gift and wanted to put Fender Custom Shop ‘51 Nocaster pickups in it. Because it was such a budget guitar to begin with, I thought it might be fun to sand the glossiness off the whole neck and headstock and then use a finishing oil to seal it up again. And I bought a Fender laser cut logo and put it on the headstock to match the original “Nocaster” look (the time between the Broadcaster and Telecaster names). I never expected to sell this, but my wife’s new “one in, one out” rule means I now have to make some tough decisions. Anyway, I can’t restore the neck finish or the decal back to say “Squier”, so this might be a nice mod project for someone else, too. And I will put the original Squier pickups back I. This unless the buyer also purchases the Fender Nocaster pickup set, which I’m also posting for sale now.
