The MC404 CAE Wah is a high-end wah developed in collaboration with Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics and the Dunlop Cry Baby team. Its main feature is its two switchable Fasel inductors: the yellow inductor offers a brighter, more transparent response, while the red provides a warmer, deeper tone with richer low mids. It also features a boost/line driver inspired by the MXR MC401, footswitchable and adjustable up to +20 dB, along with internal Q controls for each inductor and an internal gain adjustment. A long-lasting CTS potentiometer, true bypass and LEDs indicating the different modes complete its highly rugged design. This is an especially versatile wah, capable of ranging from a vintage, vocal-like character to a more modern, aggressive and cutting sound.
