Selling my player grade 1979 CBS era Fender Stratocaster Made in USA in classic original Black finish. This is a fantastic 47 year old vintage guitar for those seeking late 70´s mojo and exceptional playability and sound without the museum-piece price tag. I did not buy new thus inform to the best of my knowledge as to any modifications from original. It weighs in at 3.8 kgs which is comfortable for this era. Original 21 fret, one piece bolt-on maple neck with skunk stripe, features iconic large headstock with original machine heads, C shape profile, 7.25 inch radius, bullet truss rod and 3 bolt neckplate with microtilt adjustment. S9 serial number indicating 1979 year. Original alder body with untouched single pickups routing in original factory black finish. At some time of its life, the body had had a floating tremolo installed and can faintly see where the cavity and string locks were installed. Pickups are non original mounting Dimarzio DP145 Area 58 at neck, Dimarzio DP175S True Velvet in middle and Dimarzio DP409 Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2 at the bridge, and all sound absolutely spectacular. The string saddles are not the original from factory ones yet are original Fender upgrades. The potentiometers are non original and mounts Mojotone CTS 250k´s. Comes with recently installed 3 ply black pickguard and tremolo cover. Volume and tones knobs are replacements. Honest playing wear across body and neck with the finish showing character, dings and a beautiful natural age crackeling. Comes with non original hard shell case in good order.
