The 814ce V-Class is an electro-acoustic guitar featuring the Grand Auditorium body shape, hailing from Taylor's flagship "800 Series." It utilizes Sitka spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides. This combination delivers a refined, high-class sound characterized by rich, natural tones.

V-Class bracing is an innovative "sonic engine" developed by Taylor. Conceived by Master Builder Andy Powers, this structural design takes an approach distinct from traditional X-bracing, significantly enhancing both the guitar's volume and sustain.

Generally, a guitar's volume is largely dependent on the flexibility of the top wood, while sustain relies on its rigidity. Consequently, balancing these conflicting elements—where increasing volume often sacrifices sustain, and extending sustain often reduces volume—has historically been a challenge.

"V-Class bracing" was developed to resolve this issue. By imparting vibration characteristics to the top board that differ from traditional X-bracing, it became possible to ensure necessary rigidity while simultaneously unlocking the top's flexibility. The result is a combination of rich volume and expansive sustain.

Furthermore, it offers excellent pitch accuracy, improving the guitar's overall intonation precision.
