This Ibanez SR1305SBMGL Premium combines sophisticated craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and stage-ready electronics in one of the most ergonomic bass designs ever made. Built for professional players who demand both comfort and tonal depth, this 5-string delivers a sound as dynamic as its sleek, sculpted form. The African mahogany body provides a warm, resonant foundation, while the ash/panga panga top adds definition and visual elegance. A 5-piece panga panga/purpleheart neck with KTS titanium reinforcement rods ensures rock-solid stability and remarkable sustain, complemented by a bound panga panga fingerboard that feels smooth and fast under the fingers.
At the heart of this bass are two Nordstrand Big Break humbuckers, offering powerful low-end punch, crisp highs, and a growling midrange that cuts through any mix. The Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ gives players total tonal control, complete with an EQ bypass switch and 3-way mid-frequency selector for both active and passive flexibility. Premium appointments like the MR5S Mono-Rail bridge, Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut, and Gotoh tuners make the SR1305SBMGL a high-performance workhorse that excels across genres — from modern metal and fusion to funk, R&B, and progressive rock.
Visually striking in its Magic Wave Low Gloss finish, this SR Premium 5-string merges boutique-grade artistry with world-class playability and tone — engineered to inspire serious bassists on stage, in the studio, and beyond. Exceptionally balanced and lightweight, this bass offers boutique tone and comfort in a versatile, road-ready package, and it’s available now at Haggerty’s Music.
