This vintage vintage unit is rather obscure, but was made in Japan for European market.
Powered on batteries or PSU.

It’s a drum machine/arranger.
“Record” mode is in fact a memory slot for the sequencer like a “song mode”, which you can partially edit while playing it back. Accompaniment are in different styles and you can control chords, tonality etc.  

Sounds are spread in stereo field. You can also just finger drum or add sounds on the sequenced patterns. Pretty fun for a toy-ish setup and great for kids (as the pads are logically linked to sounds). This ergonomy is pretty cool and unique.

Manual is multilingual (English / French / German),
shipped in extra cardboard to preserve original packaging.
