About this listing
I have a Kiesel Vader here with its Ultimate soft case. I have a Kiesel shipping box for it too. This is the neck-through-body model, and I believe it is of 2017 make.Conditionally, this guitar is nice. I will describe what I see here. The body top shows a typical small surface patch of glossing to the satin finish in that common spot right below the bridge pickup. That is where satin finishes look a little bit shiny in the areas that get frequently rubbed against by our skin. Above the neck pickup, I see a little bit of surface guitar pick strumming, just a little arc sheen of surface guitar picking. Beyond that, there will be just faint signs of use on the body top.The body sides/edges show one ding right at the forearm area where the body top meets the body edge that is about a centimeter in size. The rest of the perimeter looks pretty clean, showing just faint surface signs of use. There is one area to point out as well, directly under the tuning pins of the tremolo. There will be six little dings in the finish there as well, these that are about a couple millimeters in size. That is a common rookie mistake that I see on guitars when a guitar is destrung and the tension from the tremolo springs pulls the bridge against the body wood. They're pretty inconspicuous. You're only really going to see these if you're looking under the bridge. The body back shows three small surface indentations that do not break the finish, about a millimeter or two in size. Beyond that, the surface looks pretty nice. I did not find any buckle rash or worming or any buildup of any lower-intensity pattern playwear. The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. The fretboard looks and feels great. I did not find any fret wear on the stainless steel frets, nor any sharp fret edges. The guitar plays fantastic. It feels nice and dialed in and is equipped with 10-46 strings. The electronics are working as they should. So this one rates an 8.4/10 and grades as very good. I found one noticeable edge ding, some small ones under the bridge right under the tuning gears, and a typical small glossing spot to the satin finish as the only notable signs of use on this guitar. Beyond that, the rest of the guitar, I would say, looks more like excellent. So a good portion of it is excellent. The neck looks excellent, so it balances out. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays great. This is a pretty straightforward build, so I will summarize what I know about it.This color is called British Racing Green. It is indeed a tremolo model with black hardware and a white logo. The pickups are direct-mount Lithium. Note that it has a five-way switch, which gives you split-coil function in positions 2 and 4. The body is most likely alder. It is a neck-through-body model and has a maple neck. Also note that this has a factory satin neck contour finish rather than tung oil. Satin is a $300 upcharge with Kiesel right now, so it's sort of a luxurious extra to get that. Their satin finishes feel really fast and smooth and provide the same durability and protection that gloss does. The fretboard is a highly figured bird's-eye maple specimen with offset white pearl dot inlays. The frets appear to be medium jumbo. This is actually a classic wood combo that was popularized in the 1960s by the Fender Strats of that time. Pacific Northwest alder paired with a maple neck and fretboard. Alder is a wood that is very balanced and smooth rather than being tight and percussive. It has a translucent, three-dimensional complexity to it. It's very warm. I wouldn't say dark, but warm and smooth. It counterbalances nicely with hard, bright neck woods, and that is exactly what maple is. So this is a great combination that works with any type of pickup or music style.I do like it in particular for high gain because the Lithium pickups don't flub out when you have lots of high gain. They really articulate gain well while still letting you hear the harmonic content of those two tone woods. It's a great-sounding guitar with that wood combo, oftentimes outperforming more expensive, fancy builds.Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.Thank you for reading and considering!
