Vintage 1969 Yamaha FG-230 Red Label 12-String Acoustic Guitar - Made in Japan
Product Description
Up for sale is a legendary piece of Japanese guitar history: a 1969 Yamaha FG-230 Red Label 12-String.
The FG-230 was Yamaha’s very first 12-string model and remains the pinnacle of the "Red Label" era. Built in the Nippon Gakki factory during the golden age of Japanese luthiery, these guitars are world-renowned for their bulletproof construction and unbelievably rich, booming sound. Despite having all-laminate construction, the aged woods deliver massive volume, chime, and natural compression that modern guitars simply cannot replicate.
Based on the 6-digit serial number (662365) and the 5mm dot markers, this specific unit is an early-to-mid 1969 production model, capturing the most desirable era of the Red Label run.
