This is the original German TubeMan system from the early 1990s – a highly versatile all-analog tube rig that was far ahead of its time and is becoming increasingly difficult to find as a complete set.

The TubeMan is not just an overdrive pedal, but a true tube preamp featuring a genuine 12AX7 / ECC83 vacuum tube. It can be used in several different ways:

• as a Tube Boost / Tube Overdrive / Distortion in front of a guitar amplifier
• as a standalone tube preamp into a power amp (e.g. the included CF100)
• directly into a mixing console for live performances
• for direct recording via the built-in analog speaker simulation
• with an audio interface or recording system without miking a guitar cabinet

The included CF100 Guitar Slave was specifically designed to complement the TubeMan and provides the original Hughes & Kettner live amplification solution.
