Shinichi Ubukata is a highly acclaimed Japanese guitarist and songwriter. He began his career in 1998 as the guitarist for Ellegarden, releasing five albums along with several EPs and maxi-singles. Following Ellegarden's hiatus in 2008, Ubukata formed Nothing's Carved In Stone, a band with which he has released eleven albums to date. Ellegarden reunited in 2018 and continues to be active, having released their sixth album in 2022.
The newly released Epiphone Shinichi Ubukata ES-355 ver.02 inherits the specifications of the Gibson signature model—including bound diamond-shaped F-holes, Grover Rotomatic tuners, Gibson '57 Classic pickups, a Bigsby B70 vibrato, a Varitone switch, and a "skull" logo on the back of the headstock—and is available in a lineup of five colors. It also comes with an Epiphone hardshell case featuring Ubukata's signature "skull" logo. [Main specifications]
