It's hard not to know about these amps, even harder not to be familiar with their legendary sound! For every decade of rock history, these amps have been played on number one hits, truly standing the test of time! At the beginning of the 60s, Vox AC amps went through many changes and circuit redesigns. By 1965, cosmetically, brown Vox grill cloth was being phased out in favor of black. The predominant control panel color was now gray (as it is in this example), and the name Twin was added (inspired by the Fender Twin Amps after the import ban of US products was lifted in 1959) for the two-speaker model. This amp is the AC30 sound everyone is and was after since it's been handwired
Retaining all of its original features, this amp was used, but definitely not abused. This includes two, 8 ohm 12" Alnico Silver ( "Silver Bell" ) Celestion G12 speakers, which are rare themselves! In this condition, not many amps hit the market, especially not with their original speakers in the cabinet. If you know, you know!
