This is a super clean and pristine Sony WM-D6c cassette walkman / stereo field recorder portable cassette deck. This is regarded as the holy grail of cassette walkmans and is essentially the TCD5 Pro miniaturized into a compact walkman chassis. You won't find a cleaner one than this, I had this serviced by a Sony Walkman WM-D6c specialist who specializes in these walkmans. All rubber parts were replaced, no cracked plastic, the internals have been lubricated, the capacitors were checked and in perfect health. Unfortunately due to the nature of vintage hifi electronics with moving parts, there are no returns on this item, but I will be happy to provide video footage of the walkman playing cassettes and the various functions. It runs perfectly on 4 AA batteries or you can use a power supply included. Battery bay is 100% pristine and free from any corrosion. The entire Walkman has been professionally cleaned along with the heads and demagnetized as well as completely lubricated and had all rubber belts and rubber parts replaced. The entire unit has been extensively inspected. If properly maintained and cared for this Walkman can last for many more years although there is no guarantee for units of this age with moving parts this goes even for brand new units... tape machines require care and maintenance. In my personal opinion though, I’m pretty confident that this Walkman will be running strong for another 20 years. This was the golden era of Japanese Sony engineering and manufacturing quality.
