The two-piece alder body is finished in eye-catching Graffiti Yellow lacquer and paired with a rosewood neck featuring the classic 1969 “U” profile. A 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, and mother-of-pearl position markers complete the vintage-style feel. Weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz., the guitar feels solid and well balanced without being overly heavy.Rather than the traditional three single-coil Strat setup, this Custom Shop model is equipped with a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-55 Seth Lover humbuckers. Designed around the character of early PAF-style pickups, the Seth Lovers provide a warm, open sound with plenty of clarity and harmonic detail. They give the guitar more body and output than a conventional Strat while still retaining excellent definition, making it capable of everything from articulate cleans to smooth, sustaining overdrive.The controls are straightforward, with a master volume, an individual tone control for each pickup, and a three-position blade switch. The switch provides bridge, bridge-and-neck, and neck pickup combinations, giving the guitar a simple but versatile range of sounds.Vintage styling continues throughout the hardware. It features a traditional Stratocaster tremolo, chrome and nickel hardware, Schaller F Key tuners, white plastic knobs and switch tip, and a ’63-’76-style white/black/white pickguard. Combined with the bold Graffiti Yellow finish, the result is a Strat that looks unmistakably vintage Fender while standing apart from a typical late-’60s reproduction.Strung with Fender .009-.042 strings and supplied with its hardshell case, this Custom Shop ’69 Stratocaster offers an unusual combination of classic Fender feel and dual-humbucker power.
