Pearl SS-101 100W Solid State Guitar Combo Amp 1970s w/ Original Aluminum Case

Rare 1970s Pearl SS-101 100-watt solid-state guitar combo, made in Japan. This example is complete with its original factory-designed aluminum flight-case lid and the original cable pouch - an unusual and distinctive feature of the SS-101.

The amplifier is fully functional and sounds excellent. It has a clear, powerful clean tone, with built-in distortion and a subtle, adjustable spring reverb. It offers plenty of volume and sounds clean and controlled.

Heavily built and weighing approximately 25 kg including the original flight-case lid, the SS-101 is a substantial and solidly constructed vintage amplifier.

Considering its age of around 50 years, the amplifier has been preserved very well. Naturally, it shows normal signs of use and age, but overall this is a very clean, complete and well-presented example.
