This is the original late-1970s MXR Model 126 — a highly sought-after analog bucket-brigade flanger/doubler known for its distinctive vintage modulation, short-delay, and doubling sounds.The Model 126 was introduced in 1976 and was produced during the late 1970s. This particular unit is the classic blue-face version, with rear production/serial number 26-002335. The 126 uses vintage analog bucket-brigade delay circuitry and is capable of everything from classic sweeping flanger sounds to short slap/doubling effects. The Doubler function is especially sought after for adding thickness and depth to guitars, vocals, bass, keyboards, drums and other sources. The Model 126 has also become particularly collectible due to its use by major guitar players, most famously Dimebag Darrell, who famously used the 126's Doubler function as a core part of his rig. Condition:The unit powers on and functions great, but please note that this is a nearly 50-year-old piece of vintage electronics. It has normal cosmetic wear for its age, including scratches/scuffs on the black rack chassis and some general signs of use.The unit has not been represented as recently serviced, and the controls/electronics may benefit from professional cleaning and preventative maintenance due to its age. I would recommend having the pots, switches, jacks and interior inspected/cleaned as part of normal vintage-gear maintenance
