VINTAGE - REFURBISHED AKG D320 B Late 1970s - XLR

Controlled proximity behaviour, and a robust design / detailed but warm tone. The D320B became a favourite for stage and studio work thanks to its strong midrange presence, excellent durability, and its practical three-step bass filter. This refurbished example delivers that sound with renewed clarity and comes complete with its original case and holder.

OPTICAL CONDITION

Refurbished and in excellent overall condition. The body, grille, and finish are clean, with age traces and light marking of use. The original case and holder are both in very good preserved condition.

TECHNICAL CONDITION

Perfect working order.

REFURBISHED

The internal foam has been replaced with fresh PPI 25 open-cell material, restoring proper airflow and protecting the capsule. All functions—including the three-step bass filter—operate smoothly and reliably.

BUILD & DESIGN
The D320B features the classic AKG tapered body with a robust steel grille and comfortable handling shape. Finished in the metallic tone of its era, it includes a three-position low-cut switch, allowing quick tailoring for speech, close-miking, or instrument use. Connectivity is via standard XLR.

Capsule
Dynamic moving-coil capsule with a hypercardioid response—tight pattern control, focused front pickup, and excellent off-axis rejection. Designed for both stage volume and studio clarity.

Circuit
Passive dynamic circuit with transformer-balanced output, built to withstand high SPL and aggressive environments.
