About this listing
Fender Champ Lap Steel guitar made in Fullerton, California between 1966 and 1967. Comes with the original worn hard Case. Tone pot code reads 42nd week of 1965 (6542) and it looks like someone in the Fullerton factory hand signed the single coil Fender pickup "1967". The pickup tone is bright and clean and reads 6.1 resistance on the meter. This is a clean lap steel very little finish wear and smooth chrome. All of the parts, including the volume and tone knobs, are original. The serial number stamped into the metal plate is 10441.The guitar comes with the original black case, which has some stains and heavy wear. Neither of the latches seem to work and the handle is missing. There is also a small hole in the top which I have covered with some black tape. Recently installed a new set of Electro Hawaiian strings. Will pack professionally and ship quickly.I’ve described this 60 year old guitar as best as I can with words and images, if you have any questions be sure to ask me before you buy.
