For sale is a 1983 Fender Japan JV Stratocaster ST57-65, one of the sought-after JV models from the legendary FujiGen production run. Guitars from this series still enjoy an outstanding reputation today and are considered by many to be the best Japanese Fender reissues ever made.

The ST57-65 was the mid-range model and came factory-equipped with high-quality components, including the highly prized Fullerton USA pickups. A notable feature of this guitar is its exceptionally beautiful birdseye maple neck. The fine grain makes it a real visual standout and gives it a unique charm.

The neck profile is neither too thick nor too thin; it fits comfortably in the hand and delivers the authentic vintage feel of a '57 Strat. The Stratocaster impresses with that classic, bell-like Strat tone, brilliant clean sounds, and a dynamic, responsive feel. It is highly resonant and a joy to play, whether unplugged or through an amp.

The guitar has no extra routing and remains in original condition, save for a replaced 5-way switch (the original 3-way switch is included).

Classic 1957 Stratocaster reissue design, One-piece birdseye maple neck with skunk stripe, Vintage specifications (e.g., 7.25" radius, vintage-style frets, tuners, and tremolo), Fullerton USA "Black Bobbin" pickups. There are signs of cosmetic wear - natural "relicing," so to speak - such as patina, various dings and dents, and minor finish chips (see pics). The frets show signs of use but remain very playable.
