Bojidar RB Alaturka Ritm-Box (RB1200) – Ultra Rare Turkish Analog Drum Machine

Up for sale is an extremely rare Bojidar RB Alaturka Ritm-Box (RB1200) – a highly obscure analog drum machine from the 1970s, likely manufactured in Turkey.

This is not your typical vintage rhythm box.

Unlike classic preset machines (with Rock, Bossa, Tango etc.), the Bojidar focuses on traditional Anatolian / Turkish rhythms, featuring unusual time signatures such as 9/8, 7/8 and 5/4. This gives it a completely unique musical character that stands out from any Western drum machine.

The unit gained underground recognition after being featured by experimental musician Hainbach, who highlighted its distinctive sound and mysterious origins. Very little documented information exists about this instrument, making it a true collector’s piece.
