Shhhhh . . . . This unit is the best kept secret in the studio! Way ahead of it's time when new. I've used one of these for over 20 years years and people still ask me how I get the brutal tones I get on my recordings. I'm only telling you guys. It takes a while to get them dialed in where you want them but once you do, just lock it in and your done. I still think these are amazing.
I searched for years to get a pre that sounded as good as it does in the room as it does at the board. I went through just about everything out there and finally found one of these brand new for $149.00. Totally dumbfounded when I had spent well over $1000.00 on several units that just failed to do as promised (live sound via direct recording). Yeah, maybe today you can find units that put it to shame but get ready to spend $1,500 - $2000.00. For my $$$, this unit is still very hard to beat.
