B-Stock condition: The pedal itself is in functionally perfect condition and shows at most faint, nearly invisible traces of having been briefly used. The only actual damage is to the card insert — the printed instruction card has bent edges. Everything that matters is intact and looking as good as brand new!

The Somersault is Caroline's chorus/vibrato/lo-fi modulator — the one their customers had been asking for for years. The architecture is hybrid: a digital chip handles the delayed wet signal, but the gain stage, dry path, LFO, and output mixing are all analog. That combination gives it a warmth and fatness that purely digital modulation usually doesn't have, while still letting it do the unstable, glitchy territory that pure analog struggles with.

The Offset control sets the delay time of the wet signal — shorter settings for tighter chorus width, longer for more pronounced depth and that slightly seasick lag that vintage modulation units had. Speed sets the LFO rate, Depth sets how hard the LFO modulates the offset, and Mix goes from completely dry to completely wet. The Wave toggle switches between triangle and square wave LFO shapes — triangle is smooth and classic, square is more abrupt and aggressive. The Tone toggle engages a treble cut on the wet signal for darker, soupier modulation.

The Havoc switch is the second footswitch and it does one specific thing: it maxes out the speed instantly, regardless of where your Speed knob is set. Press and hold for momentary Leslie-style blur, release and you're back where you were. Live, it's the kind of thing that becomes part of how you play rather than just a setting you dial in and forget.

At modest settings it covers gentle 80s chorus, Univibe-adjacent vibrato, and faux rotary. Push it and it falls apart in ways that are genuinely musical rather than just broken-sounding. Built in Columbia, South Carolina.

Offset, Speed, Depth, Mix. Wave toggle (triangle/square). Tone toggle (bright/dark). Havoc footswitch. 9V DC, 30mA. No battery.
