I would date it to about 1966-1969ish, as it already has a glued-on plastic logo on the headstock, but features the 510 and 511 pickup combination (and not the later blade pickups). Measurements, weight and other specs:-Scale: 640 mm-Nut: ca 4,15 cm-Weight: 2,8 kg-Pickups: 510 singlecoil in the neck; same pickup in the middle and a 511 “staple” pickup in the bridge, measuring 8,3K. The pickups are controlled with individual switches, each has its own tone pot and there is a master volume.-Body: solid wood, likely basswood -Neck: soft C-shape, slim, likely maple with an ebony (or very dark rosewood) fingerboard, trussrod accessible from the rear, small vintage frets. Condition:-Body: good, but rocked condition with some scratches and dings on the bout (see pics)-Neck: straight and good condition, frets have minor crevasses, no buzz or deadpots. Frets have been polished and fretboard cleaned.-Head: good condition-Hardware: signs of aging, but in fairly good condition; some minor carve outs in the slot of the bridge pickup, someone had a different pickup installed (now the original is back in)-Electrics: works-Originality: all original except for the new pickguard screws, output jack and the volume pot. Sound and Playability:-Playability and string action: the guitar plays very well with a low string action, which can be adjusted well at the bridge; the playing feeling is “vintage” due to the small frets and very rounded fretboard.-Sound: Please check out the video for a sound demo. The 173 has a unique sound with its well rounded, not too trebly tone from the pickups, yet way more clarity than a humbucker guitar, and a plucky twang due to the unique bridge construction. It is one of the rare guitars where you can put on all three pickups at once. Repairs, Service:As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately.-Completely cleaned-Frets polished, fretboard cleaned and oiled-Electronics cleaned and serviced-Pro setup of string action, pickup height and intonation-New 10 gauge all nickel Pyramid strings put on – play it in! Auxiliary stuff:- original gigbag included. The item will be wrapped well, and put into a sturdy cardboard box with lots of filler material. If you need a case, a 4/4 classical guitar case will fit well.
