The ThorpyFX Redacted is Secret Project #5 by Adrian Thorpe and delivers a firmer, more powerful reinterpretation of two of the most influential British fuzz circuits ever created: a germanium Fuzz Face and a RangeMaster-style treble booster, combined into a single compact pedal.
While it may recall the Have Blue and Tacit Blue, the Redacted clearly stands apart. It features carefully selected mil-spec germanium transistors, offering a more aggressive character, stronger output and faster response. The result is a fuzz with impressive volume and a wide dynamic range, capable of sounding huge even at conservative control settings.
Tonally, it stays rooted in classic territory while delivering extra authority. The Fuzz Face section provides rich, responsive saturation with excellent sensitivity to pick attack and guitar volume, while the RangeMaster adds focus, bite and presence.
