I'm selling this beautiful 1991 Fender Precision Bass Reissue '57, made in Japan.
I'm not going to rehash the well-known discussion about the quality of Japanese-made instruments—those who know, know.
This bass really has that classic Precision Bass tone, with great dynamics and a wonderfully growly, vintage character.
It's a true player's instrument, showing the normal cosmetic wear you'd expect from a 35-year-old bass (small dings and scratches on the body, a few dents on the back of the neck, and some marks around the neck heel—see photos). All of this only adds to its charm. It has incredible mojo!
It's currently strung with Rotosound 77 flatwounds, which are, in my opinion, the perfect strings for this type of bass.
The bass is professionally set up and everything works exactly as it should. The frets are still in good condition.
Very reasonable weight, just under 4 kg (8.8 lbs).
Sold with a vintage-style generic flight case featuring beautiful red tweed covering.
