Akai Multihead Headrush E2 Delay/Looper
Akai E2 Headrush is a pedal that combines digital delay, a 4-head tape echo simulator, and a live looping recorder into a single unit.
- Normal Delay Mode: 16-bit digital delay with a 44.1kHz sample rate and delay times ranging from 0.5ms up to 23.8 seconds. Features tap-tempo control using the left or right footswitch.
- Tape Echo Mode: Simulates a vintage 4-head analog tape machine with a maximum delay time of 5.9 seconds. It includes controls for tape head spacing, high-frequency (HF) damping, and individual physical outputs for each of the 4 virtual heads (plus a main mix output). This allows you to route each repeat to a different amplifier or mixer channel.
- Looping Recorder Mode: Real-time phrase looper with a maximum recording time of 23.8 seconds in normal mode, or up to 35.6 seconds in "Extend" mode (at a reduced 29.4kHz sample rate). Allows on-the-fly overdubbing and undo/delete functions.
