Yamaha DX200 Desktop Control Synthesizer / FM Groovebox from 2001, made in Japan.
Excellent condition and fully functional. It has only been used in a non-smoking studio and has been treated carefully.
The DX200 is one of Yamaha’s more unusual early-2000s machines, combining a six-operator FM synthesizer architecture derived from the DX7 with hands-on real-time controls, multimode filtering, effects, a 16-step sequencer and an AWM2 rhythm section.
It’s a very immediate way of working with Yamaha FM synthesis compared with programming a traditional DX synth, and it’s particularly good for basses, metallic and percussive sounds, evolving sequences and more experimental electronic music.
I’m only selling it because I’m restructuring my studio and putting the money towards another synthesizer.
Power supply included.
The unit can also be tested in Berlin before purchase.
