Sonosax M2D2

Sonosax SX-M2D2 in very good used condition, including a comprehensive set of professionally made adapter cables.

The SX-M2D2 is an exceptionally compact high-end two-channel microphone/line preamplifier, AD/DA converter, USB audio interface, AES3/AES42 interface, headphone amplifier and digital mixer.

A major advantage of this package compared with buying the unit alone is the included cable set. The SX-M2D2 uses TA3 connectors for its analogue and AES connections, and the required adapter cables are relatively expensive when purchased separately.

The SX-M2D2 offers two extremely high-quality mic/line inputs, 48 V phantom power, AES3/AES42 I/O, USB audio, analogue line output, headphone monitoring, internal routing/mixing and integrated dynamics processing.

The unit was used professionally for classical music recording and has always been handled carefully.

Cosmetically, it is in very good condition. On the underside there may still be very slight traces from previously attached Velcro, barely visible. This is purely cosmetic and has no effect on functionality.

The unit is fully functional apart from the cosmetic OLED display issue described below.

Please note: I only recently noticed a minor issue with the OLED display. There are some faint lines/ghosting visible, and in certain menus some underlying symbols can be faintly seen through the settings/wrench icon. All menus and settings remain fully accessible and functional, and this does not affect the audio performance or operation of the unit. Please see the photos for the exact appearance.
