About this listing
Looking for a full, rich sound without dealing with a delicate jazz box or oversized hollowbody? The Gibson ES-137 Classic delivers exactly that — a perfect fusion of vintage tone, modern playability, and striking looks. The ES-137 combines elements from Gibson’s most beloved designs: it’s got the 16” body width of the ES-175, the slimmer body depth of the Byrdland, and a solid mahogany center block like the ES-335 for added sustain and feedback control. It’s a semi-hollow that can handle jazz, blues, and rock with ease — powerful, versatile, and beautifully balanced. This 2007 Tri-Burst model features stunning flame maple, chrome hardware, and a luxurious ebony fingerboard. This particular ES-137 has been well cared for and shows only standard playwear typical for its age. The finish has aged beautifully with no major dings, cracks, or repairs. The frets are in excellent shape with plenty of life left. This is a Made-in-USA Gibson (a Memphis Custom Shop production model) that’s becoming increasingly sought after, as the ES-137 line is no longer in production. Includes the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case.SpecificationsModel: Gibson ES-137 Classic (ES3CTBCH1)Years produced: 2002–2016Finish: Tri-Burst (Nitrocellulose)Body Width: 16"Body Depth: 2 1/4"Scale Length: 24 3/4"Nut Width: 1 11/16"Top/Back/Sides: Arched flame maple with mahogany center blockNeck: Solid 3-piece mapleFingerboard: Solid ebony with pearloid trapezoid inlaysPickups: non-factory Seymour Duncan Path Cat P90s Electronics: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, 3-way selectorHardware: Grover Rotomatic tuners, Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop tailpiecePickguard: 5-ply beveled blackKnobs: Black barrel speed knobsWeight: 3900gCase: Original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case
