Gibson E-150 1935/36, First Version, Vintage Tube Amplifier, Charlie Christian Era, Original and Working

A legendary amplifier from the early days of electric amplification, contemporary with the Charlie Christian era, this rare, early production Gibson E-150 (1935-early 1936) is an exceptional piece, both historically and musically.

Produced in very small quantities, it is one of the very first amplifiers designed by Gibson, initially intended to accompany lap steel guitars.

Today, it is a highly sought-after model for its authenticity and its importance in the history of the electric guitar.

Production is estimated at around one hundred units, and only a few dozen are thought to remain today, likely not all of them original or functional.

A label on the underside suggests it was serviced in Canada (Brantford) in June 1960. Another inspection was carried out in France around 2020.
