La particolarità di questa chitarra è la presenza del selettore Tri-Sound, che permette di cambiare la configurazione del solo pickup al manico (Parallelo, Single-coil, Serie).
Questa chitarra è stata prodotta dal 1996 al 2000 e messa in commercio solo per 3 anni (1997-2000).
Praticamente identica al modello AS200 (reso famoso da John Scofield), con la sola differenza del colore hardware (cromato invece che dorato) e intarsi tastiera (dot invece che block).
