To hear the capsule sweep and live trombone test on the mobile app, scroll down past reviews to the Video section. This museum-grade Sennheiser MD 441-U dynamic microphone setup, manufactured in Germany circa 1988 (#75742) and completely preserved with its original factory archive accessories. Widely regarded as one of the finest, most versatile dynamic microphones ever designed, the MD 441-U features a beautiful textured black leatherette finish with a nickel-plated inlet grille. Delivering an incredibly flat frequency response (30 Hz–20 kHz) and a tight supercardioid polar pattern, it provides stunning off-axis rejection—making it a legendary powerhouse for vocals, high-SPL snare drums, brass, and studio cabinets. This is the highly desirable factory "U" version, featuring a native integrated 3-pin XLR housing at the base. Skip the hassle, signal loss, and mechanical failure points of rare vintage 3-pin DIN/Tuchel adapters—this unit plugs natively straight into any modern preamp or audio interface.TECHNICAL & COSMETIC CONDITION:This unit has been bench-tested and performs flawlessly to original factory specifications. The capsule is completely healthy with pristine transient response and full output gain. The mechanical tone contour controls function perfectly: the 5-position rotary bass roll-off switch (Music to Speech curves) and the high-frequency presence/brilliance boost switch (+5dB at 5 kHz) click smoothly and engage cleanly without audible static or signal dropouts. Cosmetically, the microphone is in spectacular, Excellent condition with sharp, un-dented silver outer grilles and a beautifully preserved body chassis.ARCHIVE ACCESSORIES INCLUDED:- Original Vintage Sennheiser Presentation Case: Black textured leatherette exterior with dual heavy-duty button snaps.
