The SGT-DI is one of the most complete modern bass tools Ampeg has ever built. Designed for stage, studio, silent practice, and direct recording workflows, it gives bass players access to classic Ampeg tone shaping, professional DI connectivity, and speaker cabinet simulation in one compact pedal.
At the heart of the pedal is Ampeg’s SGT™ circuit, offering both SVT and B15 voicing options. The SVT voice delivers familiar Ampeg grind, punch, and authority, while the B15 voice adds warmer vintage-inspired character with a softer, rounder feel. This gives players a wide range of classic Ampeg textures without needing a full amplifier rig.
The 3-band EQ with sweepable mids provides serious control over the core bass tone, while Ultra-Hi and 3-way Ultra-Lo switches make it easy to shape familiar Ampeg-style presence, depth, and low-end weight. The onboard variable 10:1 compressor helps smooth dynamics and tighten response for both live and recording applications.
