Gibson Custombucker Set - Gold Aged Relic

I am offering for sale a set of original Gibson Custombucker unpotted pickups in the rare Aged Gold finish.

This particular version is sourced from Gibson Custom Shop instruments fitted with aged gold hardware and is not generally available as a standard retail model. Both visually and sonically, the Custombuckers are widely regarded as among Gibson’s most authentic PAF reproductions, offering exceptional dynamics, clarity, and an open vintage character.

The pickup covers were professionally removed once in order to install a thin damping tape between the bobbins and covers, following the well-known ThroBak method. This modification helps reduce potential microphonic feedback and unwanted squeal without compromising the openness, airiness, and dynamic response for which unpotted Custombuckers are renowned. The procedure has been adopted by many vintage pickup enthusiasts and provides a practical advantage for players using higher stage volumes or increased gain levels.

The pickups are in perfect working order and ready for installation.
