808 Hits Created With Acoustic Drums

The internet is full of 808 and 808-style sample packs, but how many of them were created with acoustic drums, water glasses, and creative engineering? Taking sonic cues from Run-DMC's "Peter Piper," Reverb's Jessica Burdeaux and Rax Trax Recording's Noam Wallenberg recreated the beat. But instead of using 808s and sampled breaks like the original, they matched each hit with acoustic drums, creative engineering, and some glasses of water filled with tuning precision. They include:
