⚡️1996 Stratocaster Eagle Japan⚡️. The Eagle brand is known for making guitars in the 60s and 70s, but in 1996 they relaunched production of a few models in Japan, including a mid-60s style Strat that proved to be a real success.
The neck is very comfortable, well-cut maple with a beautiful rosewood fretboard, the kind that's hard to find these days.
The body is alder with a 3-tone sunburst finish.
The pickups are actually very good, almost surprisingly so, as the neck is often the weak point of these affordable guitars. Here they are powerful, defined, with depth and a nice attack, effective, clear, and handle distortion well. 5-way pickup selector.
It has, of course, just had a complete setup in our workshop (neck, nut, action, intonation, fret leveling and polishing, electronics check, etc.).
It will delight someone looking for a good instrument with character, well set up, and very affordable. For a beginner, why not, but frankly, not only for beginners—it's a good guitar, so… enjoy!
