1991–92 Fender Standard Telecaster MIM – Black / Maple – Early Mexican Production – 7 lbs. 8 oz. Fender gig bag included with full price purchase.Beautiful early-production Fender Standard Telecaster, made in Mexico with an MN1 serial number. This is a particularly nice example from the very early years of Fender’s Ensenada production. It has the classic black finish, white pickguard and one-piece maple neck/fingerboard combination and weighs a very comfortable 7 lbs. 8 oz.The guitar is in excellent overall condition, especially considering its age. There are a handful of small nicks and signs of use, primarily around the upper/back edge of the body, which I’ve done my best to show clearly in the photos. There is also a small hairline finish crack at the neck pocket, a very common cosmetic occurrence on bolt-on Fender guitars. It appears confined to the finish and does not affect the integrity or playability of the instrument. The guitar has undergone a thorough deep cleaning. The frets have been polished and a brand-new set of strings has been installed.Features include:Made in MexicoMN1 serial number – early Ensenada productionBlack finishMaple neck and fingerboardTraditional Telecaster single-coil pickup configuration6-saddle bridge3-way pickup selectorMaster volume and tone controlsFrets freshly polishedFresh stringsThoroughly cleanedWeight: 7 lbs. 8 oz.A very clean, increasingly uncommon example from the earliest years of Mexican Fender production, with the classic look and straightforward Telecaster configuration.
