Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Cherry finish. Made in China in 2004, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a T-O-M style bridge, StopBar tailpiece and sealed tuning machines. A pair of Alnico Classic Humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with a rather slender profile that might be described as a 'D' shape thanks to the flattened area to the centre. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The smooth lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, and at just 8 lbs is fairly easy on the shoulders too. 

The pair of humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The semi-hollow construction provides an open and airy tone with a nicely sensitive dynamic range. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge position is of course brighter, and can handle a surprising amount of gain to produce a searing raw tone which is great for anything from blues to hard rock.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The top edge demonstrates white scuff marks that could not be removed during our cleaning process.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard and rear of the neck demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. None of these markings can be felt by the hand in playing position or beneath the strings. The rear of the neck has been sanded down to a satin finish.

Body: Overall very good condition. The front and rear face demonstrate light to mild scratching throughout, with light indentations to the binding at the bass and treble side of the lower bout, near where the forearm rests and near the controls.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Mild to moderate tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece, pickup covers and tuners. Light concentrated scratching is apparent to the pickguard.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
