The McIntosh MC2505-2, introduced in the late 1960s, is a classic solid-state stereo power amplifier renowned for its distinctive glass-front design, illuminated blue watt meters, and exceptionally smooth, musical sound quality. It delivers 50 watts per channel into 4-, 8-, or 16-ohm speaker loads through McIntosh's patented Autoformer output technology, ensuring consistent performance across different speaker impedances. The amplifier features a wide frequency response, very low distortion, Sentry Monitor protection circuitry to prevent damage from short circuits or overloads, front-panel headphone and speaker controls, and the robust construction for which McIntosh products are known. The MC2505-2 became one of the company's most recognizable amplifiers and remains highly regarded by audiophiles and collectors for its reliability, vintage styling, and rich, detailed sound reproduction.

This unit is in good condition. The unit shows some natural signs of aging. It has some scratches, scuffs, peeling, and rust as photos show. The meter lights are functioning, but not bright (please check photos). The power indicator is dim(please check photos).
