The HUSH is designed to reduce hiss, pickup noise and unwanted noise from high gain rigs, distortion pedals and vintage effects. Unlike a conventional hard noise gate, the Rocktron circuit lowers the noise floor smoothly without abruptly cutting off sustained notes.
Operation is simple. The Threshold control adjusts the amount of noise reduction for the individual setup. Rocktron recommends placing the HUSH after distortion pedals and other noisy effects. It can also be used in an amplifier effects loop, preferably before delay and reverb.
