The Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH (Spalted Maple) is an electric guitar that pairs traditional Telecaster styling with non-traditional mahogany-and-humbucker construction. "FMT" stands for Carved Figured Maple Top, and the spalted version features a distinct, highly figured wood grain top with natural dark lines. Body Construction: Carved spalted maple top on a lightweight mahogany body with cream binding. Neck: Set mahogany neck (unlike the standard bolt-on Fender neck) with a modern "C" shape and a bound rosewood or laurel fingerboard. Pickups: Dual Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups—a Pearly Gates Plus at the bridge and a '59 Reverse Polarity at the neck. Electronics: 3-way toggle switch, master volume, and a push-pull tone control that splits the coils for single-coil sounds. Hardware: Black nickel hardware, a string-through-body hardtail bridge, and oversized abalone dot inlays. Scale Length: 25.5 inches with 22 jumbo frets. Practically brand new, the only change is the installation of Dunlop Dual Straplock buttons.
