Selling my complete stereo tracking and effects rack, purpose-built to add analog-style color, saturation, texture and creative processing to synthesizers, drum machines and other line-level sources before they hit your DAW.
This is not a traditional modular synthesizer system. It is a carefully curated, high-end stereo processing chain designed to sit between your sound source and your audio interface or converter, bringing everything from subtle analog warmth and tape character to creative digital textures.
Included Eurorack modules, professionally mounted in a 19" Behringer rack:
- ACL Audio Interface
- Mutable Instruments Ears
- Noise Engineering Ruina Versio
- Qu-Bit Data Bender
- 2hp Div
- WMD SCLPL
- WMD MSCL
- Strymon Magneto
The idea wasn't to create another Eurorack effects rack, but to build what I call a Stereo Color Channel: a high-end processing chain for recording synths, drum machines and stereo sources before they reach the DAW.
After a lot of experimentation, I found that less is more. Every module has a specific role, and the signal always moves from character to control to finish:
- ACL Audio Interface provides pristine, balanced line-level I/O.
- Ruina Versio adds everything from subtle harmonic saturation to more aggressive analog-style drive.
- Data Bender introduces texture and controlled digital imperfections when desired.
- SCLPL lets you rebalance the spectrum after saturation or distortion, keeping the low end tight and the top end under control.
- MSCL adds the final glue and dynamics before the last stage.
- Magneto sits at the end of the chain, where I use it less as a delay and more as a tape machine. With very subtle settings it adds a gentle tape character, a bit of movement and a polished, record-like finish without obvious delay.
- Ears and the 2hp Div are included if you want to introduce envelope-following or clock-based modulation, but the rack works perfectly well as a straightforward stereo processor without using any CV at all.
The philosophy behind the system is that every module can be easily dialed back, so you start with a transparent stereo path and add only as much colour as the source needs. I wanted something that could make a drum machine feel more alive, add weight to a synth, or simply make a stereo signal sound a little more interesting before recording.
It has been a fascinating project to build and refine over time, and I think it has turned into a very unique tracking processor rather than a traditional modular effects rack.
Everything is in excellent condition and has only been used in my smoke-free home studio.
New price today: approximately €2,500.
Selling only because I've decided to simplify my recording setup.
