NEVE 34628 33609 Limiter & Compressor - MARINAIR & ST IVES

- Original Neve 34628 offered, a classic compressor originally designed for integration into Neve 81xx series consoles.

- This model is considered the direct predecessor of the famous Neve 33609 and shares exactly the same circuit as the 33609 “Metal Knobs” version, as well as the same electronics as the Neve 2264 compressor. It features the original Marinair and St Ives transformers, which are responsible for the unmistakable sound that has made this design an absolute studio standard.

- On this model, the knobs are solid plastic, as used on Neve 81xx console modules. As with the metal-knob versions, all switches are stepped.

- This unit is over 40 years old, therefore the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced to restore it to its original condition and specifications.
All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with new Vishay units, the direct successor to the historic Philips capacitors originally used in Neve compressors of that era.

- A light calibration has been carried out, strictly following the service manual procedures, ensuring operation within original Neve specifications. Both channels are perfectly matched, with identical sound and behavior.
